About the event

It's the darkest, longest night of the year....and we're having a party! Wednesday, December 21st from 6-10pm, we'll be celebrating the legends, traditions, and strange creatures of holiday folklore and legend.

Joseph Wyman Photography will be joining us at The Weeping Glass for tintypes with Krampus. Tintypes are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE and you will sign up upon arrival to The Weeping Glass. There is limited space, there may be a wait...so get there early to secure your timed spot. 4x5 tintypes are $75 and 5x7 are $95, cash or card accepted.

The Re360 Warehouse on Manton Way will be host to a curated winter art market, and Yule Goat petting zoo from Dream Thyme Farms. Shop Vendors: Wonder Witch Brazen Bull Glass Etched In Embers Vagabond Spun Kthonia Sorcery Soul Percher Sullen Whimsy Bedlam Arts & Goods Mountain Scavenger Blossom & Burr

You will also be able to make merry with Fitzgibbons mead & wines, as well as Penn Brewery seasonal brews and sweets from Cupcake Pgh.

Grim Wizard Coffee will be serving up seasonal hot beverages and provide a place to feast on Babcia's Lunchbox Polish comfort food and Steel City Chimney's Hungarian Chimney Cakes.

The Weeping Glass will house our Solstice/Yule Altar, so be sure to stop by and put your 2024 wishes and intentions into the altar's vessel in the weeks leading up to the event. We will tie them to the wheel of the Sun chariot to be carried along on the yearly journey through the sky. They will come into fruition when the Sun is victorious and the light returns. We will send them off at 7:00pm the night of the event, fireside across from the warehouse. Our friends from Ceremonial will be leading the ritual and kicking off our celebration.

Been waiting for an opportunity to wear that Yule Lad costume? Do you have a Mari Lwyd of your own? Have you been anxiously awaiting an excuse to dress up as Jolukotturinn? Want another reason to pull that Krampus suit out again?? WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN A MONSTER PARADE? AND POSSIBLY WIN NEFARIOUS PRIZES FOR BEING A TOTAL NIGHTMARE? Meet us in front of the warehouse on Manton Way at 8:00pm to join the Monster Cavalcade lead by Colonel Eagleburger's Band
